In response to the urgent need for integrated seismic and energy upgrades of building stock in Europe, we are excited to introduce the groundbreaking i-SeePanel project. This initiative is poised to revolutionize the way we enhance the resilience and energy efficiency of existing buildings.
The i-SeePanel project focuses on developing innovative, externally bonded precast panels that adhere to Life Cycle Thinking (LCT) principles. These advanced panels combine the promising seismic strengthening solution, Textile Reinforced Mortar (TRM) — a composite material consisting of fibre-textile reinforcement embedded into an inorganic matrix — with high-performance insulation materials. This unique combination offers numerous advantages over traditional cast-in-place solutions, including:
